The cooperation aims to combine Siemens Mobility’s Vectron platform experience, digital maintenance tools, spare-part logistics and European service network with Technis’ industrial capabilities in France.

For its part, Technis will contribute nationwide workshop coverage, mobile maintenance teams and approximately 500 specialised employees, allowing Siemens Mobility to rely on existing local infrastructure and support future Vectron operators close to their operations and along key French rail corridors.

Elmar Zeiler, CEO Customer Services at Siemens Mobility, said:

The French rail market plays an important role in the continued growth of Vectron in Europe. This partnership marks a milestone in preparing best-in-class service capabilities for future operations in France.

By leveraging Technis’ established local maintenance locations and combining it with Siemens Mobility’s Vectron expertise, digital tools and spare-parts logistics, we are creating a strong foundation for high fleet availability and long-term operational performance.

Technis’ sites, which include locations in Lens, Dijon and Thionville, are strategically located on major French freight and passenger routes, with their integration into Siemens Mobility’s European service setup able to support a scaleable maintenance offering for future Vectron fleets throughout France.

Tristan Rouzès, President of Technis, said:

The Vectron is already a true success story across Europe, and we are eager to see it operating in France. Technis is ready to welcome it and support it across the country.

Siemens and Technis share the same commitment to delivering the highest quality of service to their customers. We are also united by a common ambition: to contribute to the growth of rail freight and help drive the transition to a more sustainable future. I would like to thank Siemens Mobility France, for the trust they have placed in Technis.

Siemens Mobility currently supports Vectron maintenance across Europe with predictive maintenance and diagnostic tools developed within Siemens over the course of a number of years, as well as a centralised spare-parts logistics system with access to over 8,000 part references.

All future operations in France will see spare-part availability supported by MoBase, Siemens Mobility’s digital spare-parts platform.
