Evance is pleased to be working in partnership with ScotRail to help harness wind power to reduce the companys energy costs and further improve environmental performance.

Evance has installed two R9000 small wind turbines at ScotRails Bathgate depot in West Lothian. The turbines will enable a reduction in the need for purchasing electricity so reducing the overall cost of running the depot, as well as providing a reduction in carbon emissions.
Steve Montgomery, ScotRails managing director, said: The wind turbines at Bathgate are part of our continual focus on providing a more environmentally-friendly and fuel efficient railway for Scotland. They will have a positive impact on the environment and help us save money for use in further eco-friendly projects.

It is exciting to see our turbines being used to support ScotRails environmental programme, added Kevin Parslow, CEO of Evance Wind Turbines. This is our second installation for ScotRail as last year we installed an R9000 turbine at the Montrose railway station as an onsite energy resource. Its very gratifying to work with a team that is so positive about harnessing renewable energy resources.
