Nomad Digital, leading specialists in transport connectivity solutions has secured a major contract with Hyundai Rotem, one of the top rolling stock manufacturers worldwide.
Hyundai Rotem is working in partnership with Downer Rail to build 65 new six-car passenger trains at a purpose-built manufacturing facility at Torbanlea, in the Fraser Coast region, Australia, for the Queensland Government.

The collaboration will see Nomad Digital providing onboard passenger WiFi to 65 new six-car Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) as part of the Queensland Government’s Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP).
The QTMP was established to meet the increasing demand for rail transport in South East Queensland over the next 10 years, supporting population and economic growth, as well as the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
This contract further strengthens Nomad Digital’s global presence, with the company serving other top-tier manufacturers across Europe, North America and Australia.
The contract emphasises Nomad Digital’s continued growth in the Asia-Pacific region and highlights its role as a trusted partner in delivering advanced digital solutions to rail operators worldwide.
