As part of our Meet the Sales Team series, we are pleased to introduce Rob Renshaw, Commercial Sales Manager at Mosdorfer Rail. Rob is responsible for business development and sales across the UK, Ireland, the Nordic countries and the Netherlands, working closely with customers, partners and agents to support projects across the railway and light rail sectors.
With extensive experience in railway electrification and overhead line equipment (OLE), Rob plays an important role in understanding market requirements and translating them into practical solutions for customers. His responsibilities include coordinating market intelligence, supporting budgeting and forecasting, developing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across his regions.
Rob’s key areas of expertise include sales, marketing and business development, Tensorex C+, and OLE solutions for both mainline and tramway applications.
Over the years, Rob has contributed to a number of significant achievements in the UK market. Since 2013, more than 15,000 Tensorex units have been supplied to the UK, supporting the reliable operation of railway infrastructure across the country. Rob has also been involved in the development of the Tensorex C+ Training Course, helping customers and industry professionals build their knowledge of tensioning technology and its applications.
Another notable milestone was supporting the installation of the world’s first Tensorex C+3D on the Sheffield Supertram, demonstrating the application of next-generation tensioning technology within a live light rail environment.
Rob’s work also extends across Europe, with projects and customers in Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands. These include the Helsinki Tram and Jokeri Light Rail in Finland; Follobanen and Bergen in Norway; Gothenburg Tram and the TRV Insulator Framework in Sweden; and the HTM and GVB Light Rail Systems in the Netherlands.
With his combination of technical product knowledge, market experience and close customer relationships, Rob continues to support Mosdorfer Rail’s customers in delivering reliable and innovative OLE solutions.
