The international group presents its advanced compressed air solutions in Berlin, featuring the high-performance RVR range, the APM 300 unit for airport shuttles, and high-efficiency systems for the B2B sector.

Vimodrone (MI), September 3, 2026 – Mattei Group, a global benchmark with over 100 years of history in designing and manufacturing rotary vane compressors, announces its participation in InnoTrans 2026 (Berlin, September 22–25, 2026). The trade fair represents the world’s leading platform for transport technology—an ideal stage where Mattei will demonstrate the concrete business, technological, and environmental impact of its IRIS-certified rail solutions.
InnoTrans is the global hub shaping the infrastructure of the future. Representing over 130 countries, the event gives Mattei the opportunity to showcase the quality and sustainability of Made in Italy engineering applied to rail transport to key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and B2B operators. Mattei’s rotary vane technology guarantees the lowest Life Cycle Cost (LCC) on the market, low rotation speeds, vibration-free operation, and over 100,000 hours of operation without replacing metal components.
Machines and Solutions on Display at the Stand
At the company’s stand, visitors and B2B partners will be able to closely examine the performance of the displayed machines, designed to ensure maximum air quality:
- APM 300 (Automotive People Mover): A complete solution for passenger shuttles used in airport transfers. The package includes an RVT vane compressor driven by an AC motor, an electronic compressor and motor control system with feedback regulation to ensure optimal performance across different operating conditions, a two-stage dryer, and a remote cooling unit.
- RVR 01: An ultra-compact, lightweight solution designed for light rail, trams, and subways. It offers Free Air Delivery (FAD) from 0.10 to 0.48 m³/min, operating pressures from 8 to 13 bar, low shaft power requirements (1.2–2.6 kW), and extremely quiet operation (64–66 dB(A)).
- RVR 03: Developed for electric multiple units (EMUs), regional trains, commuter lines, and maintenance vehicles. It provides FAD from 0.79 to 3.30 m³/min, operating pressures of 6–13 bar, shaft power up to 17.6 kW, and sound pressure levels between 76–80 dB(A).
- RVR 05: The flagship machine for heavy-duty applications, engineered for heavy locomotives (Class 1), freight trains, and high-speed trainsets. It delivers a high airflow rate of up to 9.69 m³/min at pressures from 6 to 13 bar and shaft power up to 71.1 kW.
- RVD 7i: A vane compressor featuring 1:1 direct coupling and inverter technology for maximum flow modularity and energy savings.
- RSU Cut-Away: A cutaway model of the air end, designed to demonstrate the core rotary vane mechanics live: 1:1 direct drive, the absence of bearings (replaced by wear-free white metal bushings), and a three-stage oil separation system delivering pure air (oil content < 3 mg/m³).
Giulio Contaldi, CEO at Mattei Group, said:InnoTrans 2026 is the opportunity to confirm our leadership alongside major global players. Our product range demonstrates how Italian engineering can offer customized, high-performance solutions capable of ensuring maximum reliability and high energy efficiency, helping to reduce the total cost of ownership across the entire lifecycle compared to traditional technologies of equal capacity.
