HS2 Property Compensation and Safeguarding Consultation Responces
People living along the route of the proposed Phase One of High Speed 2 between London and the West Midlands, have until 31 January to submit their responses to HS2 Ltds consultation on property compensation and safeguarding.
Following 22 consultation events along the line of route, the last of which was held in Lichfield on 18 January,HS2 Ltds External and Parliamentary Relations Director, Clinton Leeks, said:
Over 2700 people Have Attended
“The consultation events up and down the proposed route have been attended by over 2,700 people who were able to speak to our property teams about the proposed measures for compensation and safeguarding. We have been able to address many concerns and I hope we have given people a clearer understanding of the compensation to which they could be entitled.
“However, whether or not people have been able to attend an event, its certainly not too late for them to send in their views in response to the consultations. For more information on how to respond please go to the Department for Transports high speed rail website.”
