AusRAIL 2026 is set to bring together more than 7,000 rail industry professionals at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) from 23 to 25 November 2026. Billed as the largest rail event in the Asia-Pacific region, the conference and exhibition is the national event of the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) and is organised by MCI Australia.

The event combines a full conference programme with a large-scale exhibition, catering to delegates, exhibitors and registered visitors alike. The exhibition is open to both full delegates and exhibition visitor pass holders, running from 08:00 to 16:00 on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the event. Those wishing to attend the broader programme can register for full access, which includes both the conference sessions and the exhibition floor.

AusRAIL 2026 is expected to cover the major issues, opportunities and emerging trends shaping the rail sector across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The programme is anticipated to feature technical streams addressing infrastructure, innovation, technology and workforce development, continuing the format that has proved popular at previous editions of the event. Abstract submissions are open for those wishing to present their research or industry insights as part of the conference programme.

Beyond the formal sessions, the event offers a social programme designed to foster networking and connection across the industry. Previous editions of AusRAIL have included welcome drinks, a Women in Rail breakfast, a gala dinner, networking drinks on the exhibition floor and a fun run, with a similarly varied social calendar expected for the 2026 event.

The event is hosted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, located at Grey Street, South Brisbane, Queensland. The BCEC is one of Australia’s premier event venues and is well served by public transport and accommodation options in the surrounding area.
