DB Cargo Italia Orders 4 EffiShunter 1000 Diesel-Electric Locomotives

DB Cargo Italia has become the latest company to order rolling stock from CZ LOKO with a contract for four new EffiShunter 1000 diesel-electric locomotives.

The first two of these units will be delivered this summer, while the final two will arrive by the end of the year.

They will be used on non-electrified lines and industrial sidings to improve DB Cargo’s sustainable credentials in transporting freight.

DB Cargo Italia, one of the European leaders in rail freight transport, has become the next company to choose CZ LOKO’s EffiShunter 1000 locomotives

Emanuele Vender and Rüdiger Gastell, General Director of DB Cargo said:
The new modern locomotives will contribute to greater reliability and safety, reduce the environmental impact in terms of noise and emissions and increase the comfort of our employees.

CZ LOKO has now sold more than 100 locomotives in Italy, making it its strongest foreign market.

Michal Schaffer, CZ LOKO’s Sales Department Manager states that this latest order from DB Cargo Italia now further cements the company’s position on the European market.
