Brightline has announced that its service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) will officially launch on 22 September 2023.
This follows delays in the project’s timeline that meant the extension did not open on 1 September as initially anticipated.

Brightline initially broke ground on this expansion in June 2019, following the start of operations in South Florida between Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach in 2018.
Additional stations have since opened in downtown Boca Raton and Aventura in 2022 while construction to the network’s final destination in Orlando continued.
Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline said:Opening Orlando fulfills our ultimate business model. We have seen incredible enthusiasm from the business and tourism industries eager to travel between Central and South Florida. As we start service to Orlando for peak holiday seasons, I encourage everyone to check calendars, make plans, visit our website or app and reserve a seat now.
With this announcement, passengers can now book services between Orlando and South Florida.
One-way SMART fares start at 79 USD for adults and 39 USD for kids. Meanwhile, PREMIUM fares start at 149 USD.
