BREAKING: Railtex 2021 Postponed

2021 was to be the first time Railtex and Infrarail were to be hosted jointly. The event, due to take place 11–13 May. Following the postponement of Infrarail, Railtex has now been postponed as well because of ongoing coronavirus concerns, like so many other rail industry events have been.

NEW DATE: 7–9 September 2021

Railtex is the UK’s international exhibition of railway equipment and services, and Infrarail an international railway infrastructure exhibition. Both normally take place every two years.

Nicola Hamann, Managing Director, Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, said:

“After closely monitoring the situation around COVID-19 and the associated restrictions currently in place, we have been able to secure an alternative slot to hold Railtex & Infrarail in September 2021.

“Whilst the decision to postpone the event was not taken lightly, our number one priority is to set up the correct framework and planning security for the UK rail industry. This includes setting up extensive measures to do everything we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved.”

The organisers stated that their hope was that this postponement would allow the two events to give customers the best value once it does go ahead.

Nicola Harmann:

“Our aim is to provide the railway industry with the marketplace it needs to recover from this crisis quicker and stronger.”
