Bombardier Wins Signalling Contract in Latvia

Bombardier Transportation, a firm rail technology leader, has won a contract covering the construction and upgrade of the signalling and associated infrastructure systems in the Bolderaja region of Latvia.

Bombardier Interflo 200 Solution

Headed from Montreal in Canada, the company are set to provide their INTERFLO 200 solution to Latvian Railways on a portion of the Zasulauks line, which in place to connect Riga with the Boldoraja and Riga harbour area.

Bombardier have installed their products or employed their services in more than 60 countries as well as installing over 100,000 vehicles.

Worth 3.7 LVL to Bombardier

Worth an estimated 9.5 million LVL, with Bombardiers share worth approximately 3.7 LVL, the contract will also commission Bombardier to supply is BOMBARDIER EBI Lock 950 R4 computer based interlocking (CBI), EBI Screen 2000 centralised traffic control (CTC) and EBI Gate 2000 level crossing systems.

Bombardier, whose state of the art technology controls and monitors over 800 points, 1,600 signals, 1,700 track circuits and 120 level crossing systems, have planned for the schedule to completed within 33 months.
