The City of Dallas and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (BART) have ordered an additional two Liberty Modern Streetcars from Brookville Equipment Co. The first order was back in 2013, where DART has placed a $9.4 million order for two vehicles from Brookville with a further option to order two more.

DART Liberty Modern Streetcars

The delivery of the streetcars is scheduled for mid-2016. The streetcars will be used on the second phase of the streetcar line to Bishop Arts District, and will be extra capacity on the line.

The first phase of the Dallas Streetcar was officially opened on April 13. The route is 2.6km that links Oak Cliff in the southwest of the city with Union Station.
