This not only reduced TCO but also minimizes risks by providing early braking reminders to prevent derailment, object detection, and collision avoidance. Additionally, Wi-Fi 5/6 and 10GbE technologies are utilized to transmit all recorded driving and railway information to the headquarters’ NVR when the train returns at the end of the day.

Advanced Edge AI Computing Solutions

The ATC 3540 is a compact, fanless mobile computer equipped with the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX AI inference accelerator, providing high-performance AI capabilities. With a wide temperature range and an IP67 rating, it excels in harsh environmental conditions.

On the contrary, the ATC 3750 is a robust vehicle computer featuring the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ AI inference accelerator. With increased processing power and peripheral connectivity options, including 6x GbE PoE+ and optional 10GbE, it offers advanced computing and AI operations for safety applications, including collision avoidance, in challenging environments.

Both mobile computers facilitate real-time information monitoring of information by integrating IP cameras, mmWave radar, or LiDARs. They provide essential functionalities such as driving and braking control, collision protection, people counting, traffic lights detection, railway ballast bed monitoring, railway station monitoring, and monitoring of drivers’ physiological state. These features aim to enhance safety in rolling stock applications.

Seamless Software Support

NEXCOM offers a comprehensive software service called NEXCOM Accelerator Linux (NAL). This service integrates the NVIDIA® Jetson Jetpack 5.1.1 package, Ubuntu 20.04, an onboard MCU Library, and custom-made peripheral I/O functionality drivers. It provides developers with efficient control of the hardware and NVIDIA® Jetson SOM through APIs, sample code, and I/O utility. This facilitates a seamless solution to accelerate customers’ APP developments.

Delivering Unmatched Reliability

The railway SKUs for the ATC 3540 and ATC 3750, along with optional power isolation kit VTK PWA series, provide complete power protection. They hold the EN 50155 certification and are equipped with an M12 X-coded connector to prevent wire detachment. Additionally, the ATC 3750 offers passive cooling and an optional fan kit for hybrid cooling, allowing for effective heat dissipation over a wide temperature range in harsh environments. These features enable high-speed data processing, efficient operations, and excellent connectivity, facilitating real-time obstacle detection for collision avoidance. These railway computers play a crucial role in unfenced environments by detecting and eliminating blind spots, where unexpected obstacles like animals may enter; thereby minimizing accidents, damages, deaths, and delays while maintaining transportation volume and revenue.

The ATC 3540 and ATC 3750 are game-changing devices, revolutionizing the transportation industry by providing efficient, cost-effective, and safe solutions. Widely adopted across numerous vertical markets, they set new standards for innovation and technological advancement in the transportation sector.
