Alstom has announced the signing of new 25 million USD contract with NJ TRANSIT for an overhaul of its fleet of Multilevel II Trucks.
The overhaul work, which will see Alstom perform substantial makeovers on 209 of the operator’s vehicles, is set to be carried out at the company’s facility in Kanona, New York.

The facility will be tasked with the rebuilding and or replacement of each truck’s components to original equipment manufacturer specifications, with each vehicle required to undergo an overhaul every 10 years in order to comply with all mandated regulations put in place by both federal and American Public Transportation Association (APTA) standards.
President of Alstom Americas, Michael Keroullé, said:We are committed to restoring the performance of NJ TRANSIT’s fleet through comprehensive overhauls, ensuring our customer and their passengers benefit from safe, reliable and efficient transit services.
