Alstom has a longstanding presence in Pennsylvania, with over 650 employees and three existing sites across the state. Notably, the company is currently manufacturing the traction system for SEPTA’s next generation of light rail vehicles in West Mifflin.

The new office will facilitate closer cooperation with local clients and streamline project decisions, as Alstom continues to contribute to the modernisation of public transit in the region.

Noah Heulitt, Operational Performance Vice President Americas at Alstom said:

We’re pleased to announce that Alstom is putting a team on the ground to support our Philadelphia projects and look forward to continuing our great partnership with SEPTA as they modernise their system. Pennsylvania has a robust transportation economy and we’re eager to build and deliver the next generation of efficient, sustainable, forward-looking transportation solutions in the Keystone State.

Initially, the office will house 15 employees, with plans to later expand staffing. This facility will support Alstom’s growing workforce of over 4,500 employees across the US.
