The Alstom site of Le Creusot has surpassed a historic record delivering 2,201 bogies between 1 January and 31 December 2012.

This level of production had never been attained before: during the last four years, the annual production of the site has increased by 83%.

The site, which employs 650 people, is the Alstom Transport World Centre of Excellence for bogies.

It has expertise in design, validation and production of bogies for all Alstom rolling stock sold in the world (tramways, metros, suburban and regional trains, locomotives, high-speed and very high-speed trains).

Citadis Tram Bogies

Among the bogies produced in 2012, 784 were delivered for Citadis tramways.

This build-up of the Le Creusot site was obtained thanks to a considerable investment of 17 million euros in research and development over the period 2011/2013 and to the recruitment of 130 people between 2011 and 2012.
