Alstom has hosted its first-ever Americas Supplier Day, an event that brought together 133 suppliers from North and South America, Europe and Asia.

The event, which was held from 12-14 May in Newark, New Jersey, aimed to underscore Alstom’s current market outlook, as well as honour its commitment to work closely with its suppliers to deliver rail equipment and services across the region.

Michael Keroullé, President of Alstom Americas, said:

Passenger rail demand across the Americas is strong, and the opportunity ahead is significant.

Meeting that demand depends on strong partnerships and flawless execution. Alstom’s first ever Americas Supplier Day was about celebrating our successes, aligning around our priorities and working together to deliver for our customers.

The summit comes as Alstom begins production on a number of major contracts, and looked to shine a spotlight on discussions focusing on how the industry can rise to meet increased demand, increased preference for localisation, and how to leverage both trends to invest in maturing the supply chain and strengthening collaboration.
