Of the 37 Twindexx coaches, 26 are ‘Bpz’ trailing coaches and 11 are ‘ABpbdzf’ control coaches. This kind of repair needs to be done after 16 years of operation. The P5 maintenance level includes all the activities listed in the maintenance system documentation and those in the technical and operational documentation. All 37 coaches will be inspected in detail for the condition of components and assemblies; they will be partially disassembled from the coach and repaired or replaced as needed. Damaged windows and carpets will be replaced and any damaged passenger seats will be restored. The contract further includes the supply of mono-block wheels and their replacement.

Czesław Sulima, Head of Management Board, Operations Director of the Masovian Railways, said:

“The double-deck coaches were the first railroad vehicles of this type purchased by the Regional Government of the Masovian Voivodeship for Masovian Railways. As a result, push-pull trains were launched as the first in Poland. These trains successfully serve designated routes in Mazovia, as well as 'Słoneczny' or 'Słoneczny – BIS' trains running from Warsaw to the seaside in the summer season. Repairs to all 37 control and trailing coaches will be carried out in accordance with the Maintenance System Documentation, and will also undergo the necessary modernization resulting from current regulations.”

As part of the contract Alstom will also repair the air system values and pressure sensors, replace the air-conditioning fan motors and renew the exterior varnish coating.
