VIA Rail Canada has officially launched a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to source a co-development partner for its Dorval hub project.

The RFQ seeks both investment in the Dorval station and aid in the advancement of the next phase of the project, which is aimed at providing stronger integration with public transport operations in Greater Montréal.

VIA Rail operates intercity passenger rail service across Canada

The project forms part of VIA Rail’s VIAction 2030 strategic plan, which will see VIA integrating each operator within the metropolitan region onto a single site in Montréal.

All work will be closely conducted in collaboration with the ARTM to ensure the development of the new Dorval station benefits the overall transport network throughout the region.

The deadline for applications is set to close on May 9, 2025.
