InnoTrans returns to Berlin from 22 to 25 September 2026 and this year the show marks its 30th anniversary: it is the 15th edition of the event since it first opened in October 1996. That milestone runs through much of this issue, in which we are featuring many of the industry supply chain exhibiting at the event.
imc Test & Measurement sets out its long-running relationship with TÜV SÜD Rail, and how a co-development project solved a packaging problem that had been causing costly downtime during wheelset homologation testing.
Hexagon writes about its partnership with Track Forward on predictive wheelset maintenance. Hexagon’s CALIPRI system takes non-contact, rapid wheelset measurements in operation; that data feeds into Track Forward’s WheelSense analytics platform, which places individual measurements in operational context to flag wear development early and support forward-looking maintenance planning rather than reactive inspection. The two companies are exhibiting the joint solution together at InnoTrans, Hall 23, Stand 530.
voestalpine Railway Systems writes about track and special trackwork at system level rather than component level. Gradall TrackStar looks at the shrinking maintenance window facing track teams and its case for a single-machine approach to track access. In Rolling Stock, Grueber marks nearly 200 years in spring manufacturing and plans to unveil its Steel Spring Generation 4.0 technology alongside iSpring, a digital measurement and monitoring system for in-service springs, at the show. HANNING & KAHL, family-owned since 1898, will be in Hall 27, Stand 610, debuting its new BrakeMaster braking system and a new filter flushing system for hydraulic brakes.
