The HÜBNER Group Highlights Its Global Presence and a Wide-Ranging Product Portfolio at InnoTrans 2022 – Making Mobility Happen – Today. Tomorrow. Together.

The HÜBNER Group will be represented at this year’s InnoTrans in Berlin (20 – 23 September) with two booths. In the indoor area (Hall 1.2, Booth 120), the focus is on new innovations and products for the rail vehicle market. In the outdoor area (Booth O/220), a new steering system for high-capacity buses will be shown. In addition, HÜBNER will be presenting a series of expert talks about the company’s latest product developments. At InnoTrans, the benefits of HÜBNER’s global presence will also be highlighted – both for customers and in connection with climate issues.

HÜBNER InnoTrans
General Manager Helge Förster, Kai Mentel, Head of Mobility Rail, and Uwe Bittroff, Head of Gangway Systems in the Mobility Road Division, are looking forward to meeting customers and interested visitors at the HÜBNER InnoTrans booths (Hall 1.2/120, outdoor area O/220).

“Making Mobility Happen – Today. Tomorrow. Together” is HÜBNER’s motto for InnoTrans 2022. Detailed information about the company’s highlights, products and the expert talks being presented at the company’s booth can be found at a dedicated InnoTrans website www.hubner-group.com/innotrans. HÜBNER is also represented in the Deutsche Bahn’s IdeasTrain (outdoor area, Booth O/1) with an innovative high-comfort gangway.

Kai Mentel: “We understand the train as an integrated system”

For the first time at InnoTrans 2022, all of the HÜBNER Group companies active in the rail sector will be appearing together at the same exhibition booth.

Kai Mentel, Head of Mobility Rail Division, said:

“Through our strong group network, the HÜBNER Group offers customers a broad product portfolio for rail vehicles that benefits from a fruitful cross-product exchange between the various product areas. Our new exhibition concept underlines the core competence of the HÜBNER Group – the fact that we understand the train as an integrated system.”

HÜBNER Group Expertise Bundled at One Booth

The following companies are part of the HÜBNER Group and will be present at Booth 120 in Hall 1.2:

  • HÜBNER (Kassel, Germany)
  • HÜBNER Transportation (Kassel, Germany)
  • ATG Autotechnik (Siek, Germany)
  • Gersys (Wolfratshausen, Germany)
  • HEMSCHEIDT Engineering (Feucht, Germany)
  • GWU – Gummi Welz (Neu-Ulm, Germany)
  • Kunststofftechnik Hennigsdorf (Hennigsdorf, Germany)
  • Plastocell (Schifferstadt, Germany)

For the first time in addition to the team from the divisions Mobility Rail and Material Solutions, experts from HÜBNER’s Mobility Road division will also be on hand at InnoTrans. The international team at the exhibition will be made up of employees coming from HÜBNER’s more than 30 locations around world.

The benefit: Customers and other InnoTrans visitors can get a compact overview of HÜBNER’s multi-faceted product world and the comprehensive advantages that the HÜBNER network can provide.

At InnoTrans, the HÜBNER Group will be providing information about new developments in gangway and articulation systems as well as intelligent door safety systems; the offerings in the After Sales & Service area; innovations in the field of cockpit displays and driver assistance systems; the area of chassis technology; entry systems; and also various material solutions for the rail vehicles, made, for example, out of polyurethane.

Highlight: The New Tram Articulation FX1000 pro

One highlight is the new tram articulation FX1000 pro, which features a long service life and low life cycle costs.

Christopher Sames, Head of Global Sales Rail, explains:

“The new tram articulation in this form is unique and provides significant added value – both for OEM customers and also for transit operators. In addition, with the FX1000 pro we are now handling all of the relevant key components of the gangway system with our own in-house production expertise, which provides a high degree of independence from external factors.”

Another product innovation is the maintenance-free door safety system SensIQ sonic, which operates with ultrasonic technology. Furthermore, the HÜBNER Group will be highlighting its expertise in the field of material development, particularly in the areas of fire protection and sound insulation.

Advantages Coming from Global Presence

Besides the innovations and new developments in the company’s product world, another important theme at InnoTrans 2022 is the contributions the HÜBNER Group is making for greater sustainability and more environmental protection.

General Manager Helge Förster, said:

“Not only are we working to produce as sustainably as possible, we also aim to transport our products to their point of use with the customer in the most climate-friendly ways possible. Our advantage here is this – through our global presence with more than 30 locations in 17 countries, we are able to produce locally in almost all markets. This way we can support our customers with short delivery routes – and at the same time reduce harmful emissions.”

Another advantage in connection with the Group’s global presence: Through the short delivery routes HÜBNER minimizes the risk that products will have to be transported via long sea routes. In addition to this, the Group produces the key materials for its products such as elastomers, rubber, silicone and textiles in-house. This also increases HÜBNER’s delivery reliability while reducing dependence on third parties.

Specialist Presentations by HÜBNER Experts

To facilitate the exchange of information and ideas with customers and industry professionals, the HÜBNER Group will be offering a wide-ranging series of specialist presentations at its booth in the indoor area (Hall 1.2, Booth 120). At the “HÜBNER Expert Talks” on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, company experts from various areas will be providing insights into current projects and product developments in short presentations (approx. 15 minutes). The talks will begin each day at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The full program is available at www.hubner-group.com/innotrans.

World First: A Steering System for High-Capacity Buses

At the outdoor area (Booth O/220), HÜBNER will be presenting a new steering system for high-capacity buses – a world first for public transport. With the new steering system, the six axles of a high-capacity bus are intelligently linked with each other so that these large vehicles can be safely driven through urban traffic. More information on the new HÜBNER steering system is available at: www.hubner-group.com/innotrans.
