With a population of approximately seven million, Surat is one of the largest cities in western India. According to the World Economic Forum, it’s the fastest growing city in the world in terms of GDP thanks to a high level of infrastructure investment, particularly around sustainable transport solutions.

Corridor 1 is from Sarthana to Dream City with six underground and 14 elevated stations, while corridor 2 is from Bhesan to Saroli with 18 elevated stations.

SYSTRA and joint venture partners EGIS Rail SA and AECOM Asia will provide services including reviewing the detailed project report (DPR) and design, civil and system works procurement assistance, construction supervision for civil and systems works, system Integration, overall project management, safety and quality checking, and testing and commissioning.
