The Han® High Pressure Railway (HPR) VarioShell is a flexible housing for inter-car connections which simplifies assembly and allows quick access for maintenance and repair. For cable-based power supply in the underfloor area, the Han® HPR TrainPowerLine reduces weight and saves time thanks to pre-assembly. In addition, the High-Performance Transformer Connector is a durable, pluggable solution with housings designed according to the HPR standard.
To employ the European Train Control System (ETCS), older rolling stock will need upgrading and retrofitting with cabling, wiring and connectors. HARTING have a wide range of rail-approved products and solutions to support this challenge, including the M12 PushPull which allows easy installation in restricted spaces.
Other innovations include Han® Eco B, a lightweight and energy efficient polyamide connector and the Han® 1A, a compact, modular solution which can integrate contacts for data, signals and power. Both these ranges comply with standard EN 45545-2 for fire performance on railway vehicles.
In addition, HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS) combines market-leading products with expertise so components can be tailored to specific requirements and applications. They work closely with you and their production specialists to plan, design, test and produce a wide range of bespoke products such as jumper cables, hoods, housings and connectors, which are factory built and 100% electrically tested onsite.
