An Alstom led consortium with Bombardier will supply ERTMS signalling systems and associated maintenance services for 20 years for the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat to Mataró suburban line around Barcelona. The consortium will supply the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of the signalling communication systems for the 56km line.
Alstom will fit its Atlas 200 ERTMS Level 2 signalling solution on the line, while Bombardier will deliver its EBI Lock 950 electronic interlocking system.
The €72.7million contract was awarded by the Spanish Administrator of Railway Infrastructure (ADIF). Alstom’s portion of the contract is €38.5 million and Bombardier’s is €34.2 million
