Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) has officially joined the EULYNX Consortium, making it the first organisation outside of Europe to become part of the group.
The EULYNX Consortium is an international collaboration of leading European railway infrastructure managers dedicated to the standardisation and modernisation of railway signalling systems.
With SAR’s membership, the consortium has expanded its reach globally, reflecting a growing interest in implementing standardised signalling solutions worldwide.

SAR’s participation in EULYNX will facilitate the adoption of global best practices within its rail network, allowing for the integration of cutting-edge signalling technologies and approaches.
Specifically, SAR will gain access to expert insights and contribute to technical discussions that shape international industry standards.
The railway operator plans to develop signalling standards tailored to its specific operational requirements while ensuring compatibility with global protocols.
SAR also aims to enhance its network’s efficiency, safety, and interoperability by leveraging the consortium’s shared expertise and fostering greater innovation within its infrastructure.
