PowerRail Locomotive Services Celebrate Expansion
PowerRail Locomotive Services recently broke-ground on their latest facility improvement project. Plans include the expansion of the existing building and installation of two overhead cranes, coupled with new 110# class 1 track, as well as the addition of a side building for running repairs.
PowerRail, Inc. purchased the locomotive facility, located in Monroe, Ga, in early 2014. Since then PowerRail has invested in new equipment, added and replaced rail for storage and operational ease, as well as added staff and created PowerRail Mobile Maintenance, which also operates out of this location and provides services nationwide.
Locomotive and Freight Car Services
Over the past two years PowerRail Locomotive Services has completed many notable projects, including fulfilling a large selection of truck frame rebuilds, which has also earned them a reputation of stocking SW, GP and SD rebuilt trucks for emergency orders. In addition, they have rebuilt, painted and blue-carded both customer and PowerRail-owned locomotives, and have handled at least a dozen or more emergency service jobs.
PowerRail Locomotive Services offers both Locomotive and Freight Car services including Light Repair, Re-wires, Engine and/or Engine Component Change Out, and Truck Overhauls. In addition, they have a wide selection of locomotives also available for purchase.
