Pandrol Sponsors International Heavy Haul Conference
Pandrol, which has over 40 years’ experience in providing rail infrastructure solutions for heavy haul, has announced the company is the Platinum Sponsor of the International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA) STS conference. This will take place on the 10th – 14th June 2019, in Narvik, Norway.
The conference, which, this year is on the theme of ‘Heavy Haul 4.0 – Achieving Breakthrough Performance Levels’, will also include technical experts from Pandrol introducing subjects including digital applications in aluminothermic welding, creating efficiency through predictive maintenance and heavy haul fastening systems standards, as well as sharing the experience of recently delivering Menghua Railway heavy haul project in China. These technical papers will be presented at the technical seminar prior to the conference.
“Our company takes its name from the inventor of our revolutionary PR clip, the Norwegian railways engineer Per Pande-Rolfsen, so it’s quite fitting that we’re the Platinum sponsor when the IHHA conference takes place in Norway. Scandinavia has always been an important market for us and it will be a great opportunity to demonstrate our global heavy haul expertise.
“The technical seminars are covering some very topical issues and will give valuable information to delegates on how to meet their rail infrastructure challenges in heavy haul.”
Pandrol will be showcasing its full line of products and services during the IHHA conference, which include rail fastenings, aluminothermic welding, electrification and equipment & control to deliver an unrivalled customer experience by maximising rail infrastructure availability, safety and lifetime value.
At the event, Pandrol will also be unveiling its new mobile app, Pandrol Connect™, which enables live data capture, enhances workflow quality assurance, saves time and improves traceability, starting with Aluminothermic welding of rail track.
