Keyline has agreed a strategic partnership with Fiberweb to strengthen its range of core and specialist products for the rail sector across all trackside, tunneling and platform requirements. Under the agreement, Keyline will become the key supplier of Fiberweb’s range of TERRAM Permanent Way solutions and the newly launched Hydrotex product within the UK.

Controlling Subgrade Erosion with Permanent Way Seperators

Keyline will now supply the geosynthetic solutions nationwide via its network of 89 depots on a 24/7 basis to support possession work. The Permanent Way separators are used beneath ballast over granular soils to better control subgrade erosion, avoiding costly maintenance and track closures. Meanwhile, the Hydrotex product has been designed to address the issue of clay pumping providing an alternative to the traditional sand filter layer that is easier to install with less manpower and in a more cost effective manner.

Richard Wade, Rail Sector Manager at Keyline commented: Our National Rail Division provides the most comprehensive range of core and specialist products for the rail industry. This latest agreement will ensure we are best placed to meet the precise needs of all MAFA, track work, civil engineering and building contractors now and in the future.

Geosynthetic Solutions

David Dutton, Technical Development Manager at Fiberweb said: Keyline is the leading provider of civil engineering and specialist products to the rail industry, so the partnership is the ideal solution for us within the UK. We utilise our global knowledge across multiple industry sectors to develop our range of geosynthetic solutions and we look forward to working closely with Keyline moving forward to help enhance our proposition further.
