Hitachi has worked with SBS Transit Rail since 2003

Hitachi has worked closely with SBS Transit Rail since 2003, having supported the original ISCS for SBS Transit’s first MRT line. This new initiative marks a significant milestone for Hitachi Rail’s local footprint, as well as its ongoing commitment to expand technical capabilities within Singapore, while sustaining rail reliability.

The programme is expected to strengthen long-term support for the ISCS over the course of the next 15 years, supporting operational targets whilst reducing reliance on short-term fixes and supporting existing rail operations.

ISCS integrates the monitoring and control of key line systems, aiding in safe and efficient operations across the railway.

Cyrille Bataille, Head of APAC Market, Hitachi Rail, said:

We’re extending our long-standing collaboration with SBS Transit.

This support contract will help address system obsolescence in a structured way and support reliable operations on the North East Line.
