The RailTechnology ST (Silent Track) rail grinding technology is a high productive mobile rail treatment technology designed to keep rails in shape and remove rail surface irregularities and defects on both Mainline and Urban Railway systems.
The innovative spark and dust free technology is capable of removing corrugations, waves and other near surface defects in rails thereby achieving a high quality rail surface allowing for significant reductions in rail traffic noise emissions.
ST grinding technology can be integrated within compact modular units in a variety of configurations.
ST wagons can be towed behind a variety of rail mounted or road rail vehicles or alternatively they can be combined into 2-3-4 car self propelled ST grinding train configurations with up to 24 grinding stones.
Regular treatment of rails with ST grinding technology will extend life of rails significantly.
