North American Class I freight railroad company, CSX has expanded its partnership with Siemens Mobility to implement digital solutions for freight rail.
This collaboration will enable CSX to optimise rail traffic across approximately 20,000 route miles of track, leveraging Siemens’ Controlguide Core Dispatch System (CDS) and Rail Traffic Network Optimization Solution, TPS.live.
Siemens Mobility and CSX have been working together to define the features of Controlguide CDS since July 2022 and have agreed to a joint production operation rollout of the latest capabilities in 2027.

Controlguide CDS will enable faster decision-making and route optimisation across the CSX network by providing visibility into real-time operations. This includes the provision of an architecture stack and a granular visualisation of CSX’s Network Rail Operations.
By combining the real and digital worlds, this software aims to transform CSX’s everyday operations.
