Take Control with Confidence: Introduction of the New CMA Coupling Module Family

ComatReleco expands its portfolio with the new CMA coupling module family featuring manual operation, offering a compact and intelligent solution for safer interventions, greater transparency in system operation, and reliable use in building automation and industrial applications. The new product line combines convenient manual operation with seamless integration into automated systems, enabling quick and safe intervention when needed.

In today’s installations, field flexibility is no longer a convenience feature – it’s a necessity. During commissioning, servicing, maintenance, or troubleshooting, it must be possible to manually operate selected functions, even if the control system is inactive or temporarily unavailable. The CMA family was developed precisely for these situations. It enables safe switching between automatic and manual operation, while a dedicated feedback contact keeps the higher-level control system informed of the current operating status at all times.

With its CMA series, ComatReleco offers a solution that is as practical as it is elegant. The modules provide clear operating mode selection, reliable status feedback, and intuitive operation in a compact 17.5 mm housing for DIN rail mounting. This makes them ideal for modern control cabinets where space, clarity, and efficiency are crucial.

The new family includes both digital and analog versions, allowing users to choose the right module for a wide variety of signal types and applications. The product range includes:

  • CMA-D111/UC24V – 1 digital channel, 1 changeover contact
  • CMA-D211/UC24V – 2 digital channels, 2 changeover contacts
  • CMA-U111/UC24V – analogue 0…10 V
  • CMA-I111/UC24V – analogue 0…20 mA

This broad family concept makes CMA a versatile choice for applications with actuators, valves, pumps, ventilation systems, heating coils, and other field devices that require reliable manual override or analog signal processing. The analog versions also offer a setpoint-dependent LED display, providing intuitive visual feedback on the operating status.

The advantages are obvious: increased operational reliability, faster commissioning, simplified troubleshooting, and reliable emergency operation when the control system is unavailable. Instead of adding complexity, CMA helps reduce uncertainties in the field and supports smooth, transparent system operation precisely when it matters most.

For control cabinet manufacturers and integrators, the new modules also support easy installation and expansion. Accessories such as 2-pole, 4-pole, and 8-pole potential bridges are available to simplify wiring and make integration in the control cabinet even more efficient.
