
The prestigious international DB Schenker Award 2016 has called for entrants to compete for a prize of €15,000.
The call is for promising young researchers to submit their dissertation, post-doctoral thesis or comparable academic work to by 31 July 2016. The applications must relate to logistics, transport or transportation systems.
Previous winners of the Award include Dr. Helena Preiß (Otto Friedrich University Bamberg) for her dissertation on Service Engineering in the Logistics Sector and Dr. Oluseye Richard Oloruntoba (University of Newcastle, Australia) for his work on the Implications and Limitations of Commercial Supply Chain Management Process Models and Frameworks for Disaster Relief.
The DB Schenker Award is one of the largest cash prizes in the logistics sector, and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the next generation of engineers and academics in the field of logistics and transportation. An additional €5,000 is up for grabs for the supervising professor. The award is brought about by the Deutsche Bahn Foundation.
