German rail operator Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG) have exercised an option to buy an extra 25 light rail vehicles. They will be Citylink NET 2012 vehicles from Stadler Rail Valencia and Vossloh Kiepe. The order is an extension of a 2011 contract. A total of 75 units will be supplied to Karlsruhe for use on the city’s tram network.

The 25 Citylink vehicles supplied in the original order have been in commercial use since October 2014. The next 25 will be delivered from autumn 2016.
