Uber has announced plans to introduce a series of cross-channel rail services through a co-branding partnership with prospective Eurostar competitor, Gemini Trains, which has stated intentions to purchase a set of 10 newly-designed trains.
The two companies have stated that the new service would aim to deliver both competitive fares and a high-quality passenger experience on frequent train services between the UK and Europe.

As part of an agreed marketing strategy, Uber will co-brand the service, offering passengers the opportunity to book tickets within its existing Uber app whilst Gemini Trains takes on the operational side of the service, which will see services run between London, Paris and Brussels through the Channel Tunnel.
Uber has seen an average double-digit monthly growth rate in its train business since its entry into the sector in 2023, with the new co-branding deal looking to echo the company’s current collaboration with Thames Clipper boats, where the service is branded by Uber but operated in totality by Thames Clipper.
Andrew Brem, General Manager, Uber UK says:We’ve seen amazing momentum since we began launching new modes of transport in the UK, and this collaboration with Gemini Trains is our latest step in how we’re helping people get where they want to go.
We’re excited about the opportunity to bring our brand to the iconic Channel Tunnel journey.
The initial service will run from London Stratford International to Paris Gare du Nord and Brussels Midi, with all services all calling at Ebbsfleet International.
Gemini Trains has also announced plans to expand its services into additional European locations following the launch of its new service with Uber.
Adrian Quine, CEO, Gemini says:Innovation and value are at the very heart of what we do so it’s really exciting to be teaming up with Uber, an instantly recognisable global brand which has revolutionised the travel industry.
Now passengers will be able to enjoy the same value and comfort on brand new ‘cutting edge’ trains at the touch of a button.
