Hedemora Turbo & Diesel specialises in the design, development, manufacturing and maintenance of Hedemora turbochargers.
Using 3D-CAD software and Turbocharger matching simulation software, our dedicated engineers ensure that the turbocharger is optimised for every specific engine application when it comes to design, performance, operation conditions and installation. We use a 3D-laser scanner technology to capture and ensure correct interfaces are established without interfering with other components and optimise the installation process for retrofit projects.
A Complete Retrofit Concept
Retrofit with Hedemora Turbochargers is a great solution to increase the performance of existing engines. We collect all accessible engine data, customer requirements and 3D-scan the engine to get all interfaces with high accuracy. Our engineers process this information to get the best turbo matching and design a complete retrofit kit that can be installed on the engine without other modifications.
We have long experience of retrofit on a big number of different engines in railway, marine, power and energy. Successful retrofit extends the lifetime of the engines.
The Process
Our retrofit concept includes working closely with the customer – our highly qualified team of engineers analyse gathered data and perform a series of tests to determine the engine’s requirements.
From here, we create 3D models to determine which parts will need to be adapted for the project.

Based on this a preliminary matching and configuration is established followed by a design study.
Our retrofit concept/upgrade lead to enhanced efficiency with decreased fuel consumption, lower exhaust temperatures and easier maintenance procedures.
