This new service provides a seamless, one-seat ride between West Palm Beach and MiamiCentral stations.

With this project, SFRTA aims to improve rail mobility in the South Florida Region

The express train will depart West Palm Beach Station at 6:30 am, making limited stops at Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport at Dania Beach, and the Metrorail Transfer Station. It will arrive at MiamiCentral Station by 8:05 am.

For the return trip, the express train will leave MiamiCentral at 5:35 pm, ensuring a convenient and quick commute home for passengers.

Dave Dech, Executive Director of SFRTA said:

“We are thrilled to unveil this enhancement to our train service. By offering a one-seat ride and reducing travel time, we aim to provide an enhanced commuting experience for our passengers and attract new riders to Tri-Rail.”

Tri-Rail commenced services to MiamiCentral at the start of 2024. Now, the express service eliminates the need for passengers to transfer to shuttle trains.

This direct route will save commuters more than 30 minutes on their journey between West Palm Beach and Miami.
