Siemens Mobility has appointed Tobias Bauer as its new President and Chief Executive Officer of North American operations.
Bauer first joined Siemens in 2004, and has previously held positions across Europe, India, and North America.

Serving as acting CEO of Siemens Mobility North America since July 2025; Bauer was appointed president of the company’s North American rolling stock division in January 2025, following time as Senior Vice President of Rail Infrastructure for Siemens Mobility North America, a role he acquired in 2021.
Thus far this year, Bauer has overseen a number of projects including the implementation of Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and delivery of the first Siemens Dual-Mode Charger Locomotives for Metro-North Railroad in New York.
Bauer will also continue as President of Rolling Stock alongside his CEO responsibilities.
