Welcome to issue 5 of the Railway-News magazine. Originally due to be published in the run-up to AusRAIL PLUS 2021, the show has now been postponed to March 2022 due to ongoing coronavirus uncertainties in Australia. However, we still give a nod to the Australian rail market by taking a look at two rail projects currently under construction in the country: Inland Rail, a 1,700km freight line, and Cross River Rail in Brisbane. Our second cover story is an interview with Frank Hermandung from KfW IPEX-Bank. He discusses his views on the European rail freight sector.
