In order to accommodate ZB’s growing capacity requirements; Stadler will deliver five additional ADLER and three FINK multiple units.

The contract, which is worth 150 million CHF, was signed on 6 September at the Zentralbegegnung anniversary event in Stansstad, where the deal was overseen by Michael Schürch, Managing Director of Zentralbahn, Vincent Ducrot, CEO of SBB, and Stadler Chairman of the Board of Directors, Peter Spuhler.

Peter Spuhler said:

Our trains meet the increasing demands of passengers. This order once again underscores our expertise in customized vehicles. I would like to thank the employees in Bussnang for the first-class quality they deliver every day. This is the key to the success of our products.

In addition to the increased capacity; ZB has also announced the introduction of a premium seating compartment on three of the new ADLER units.
