Rail safety specialist, Zonegreen, part of the Sentric Safety Group, is marking a major milestone in its 16-year history, having just secured its 3,000th order.
The Sheffield-based company’s achievement comes only three years after it signed its 2,000th contract, highlighting its rapid pace of development. By comparison, it took five years to reach 1,000 orders and a further four and a half to make it to 2,000.
Zonegreen achieved this latest landmark after agreeing a deal to service its flagship Depot Personnel Protection System (DPPS) at Northern Rail’s Newton Heath facility in Manchester. It will see the company visit bi-annually to service and maintain the safety system, which controls the movement of rail vehicles in depot environments to protect staff.
