ENSCO, Inc. is pleased to announce it has been named an awardee by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) for the Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP).

Under the new 5-year contract, ENSCO will operate and maintain six FRA track inspection cars.

Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP)

The mission of the ATIP program is to improve the quality and safety of American’s railroads, under statutes mandated by Congress. ATIP cars conduct operational surveys of the United States rail transportation network, determining railroad compliance with Federal Track Safety Standards.

ENSCO’s involvement with the ATIP program dates from the 1970s, when it received its first FRA contract.

Boris Nejikovsky, ENSCO President, said:

“The ATIP program has been a cornerstone for the company for many years”
