Deutsche Bahn has announced a brand new promotional BahnCard – BahnCard Gold.
With the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics fast approaching; this new loyalty scheme offers free travel on all Deutsche Bahn long-distance trains on the day following a gold medal win by Germany.
Available from 16 January to 5 February; the card will serve as a ticket on all applicable days, and offer a discount of 25% on all Super Saver and Saver fares and a 25% or 50% discount on all Flex fares on the German rail network every day, regardless of a German medal win.
The trial BahnCard 25 Gold can be purchased for 19.90 EUR (2nd class) or 39.90 EUR (1st class), and as a trial BahnCard 50 Gold for 76.60 EUR (2nd class) or 152 EUR (1st class). The card will be valid for three months and automatically converts to a regular subscription unless cancelled.
