CRRC Metro Trains Commence Trial Runs on Shanghai-Jiangsu Line 11

CRRC-made metro trains have commenced no-load trial runs on the Shanghai-Jiangsu Line 11 in China.

The train will complete no-load trial runs for the next three months

This is China’s first cross-county metro line and Jiangsu’s first cross-province rail service that directly connects with Shanghai.

The six-carriage metro trains will travel at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour while carrying a maximum of 2098 passengers.

Each metro train has 6 carriages, providing a total of 232 seats

Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 will start official operation in mid-2023 after three months of no-load trial runs.

It is hoped that this metro service will promote strengthened connections between Shanghai and Jiangsu.
