CRRC-made metro trains have commenced no-load trial runs on the Shanghai-Jiangsu Line 11 in China.
This is China’s first cross-county metro line and Jiangsu’s first cross-province rail service that directly connects with Shanghai.
The six-carriage metro trains will travel at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour while carrying a maximum of 2098 passengers.
Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 will start official operation in mid-2023 after three months of no-load trial runs.
It is hoped that this metro service will promote strengthened connections between Shanghai and Jiangsu.
