CAF Signalling has received the certification for its AURIGA on-board ETCS Baseline 3 Release 2 solution in accordance with the latest TSI 2019/776.
CAF’s European Train Control System has been fitted into the EM100 measuring car, manufactured by Plasser & Theurer. A key partner in the project was signalling supplier AZD Praha. The AURIGA system has also been authorised for use in the Czech Republic by the National Safety Authority.

CAF Signalling said its ETCS solution offered a high degree of availability thank to its redundant 2003 architecture and the robustness of its odometry. Another benefit, it said, was its compact design, meaning that several operators have already placed orders.
For this most recent version, CAF Signalling has integrated an additional class B system, the LS system, which is used in the Czech Republic together with ETCS. CAF Signalling is now among the signalling suppliers with a certified Baseline 3 Release 2 solution.
