BT Cables On Track for Significant Business Growth

Over the last 12 months BT Cables, the specialist cable manufacturing division of the BT Group, has been steadfastly developing its railway infrastructure product offering.

In this article, Commercial Director, Paul Farrell, outlines some of the positive developments and new projects currently in the pipeline:

“With our origins dating back to 1895, BT Cables has become firmly established as one of the most respected manufacturers of high quality cables for building management, telecommunications and bespoke infrastructure applications. We have experienced impressive year-on-year growth and our global customer base trusts us to deliver outstanding cable products and technical support.

There are ambitious plans to sustain this momentum. Being a part of BT means that we are constantly investing in our future by developing innovative product lines and service solutions to meet changing market demands.

The railway infrastructure has always been an important market to us and our products have evolved to meet the high standard the industry demands. Mass transit is a safety-critical business and the ability to reliably communicate between stations, signals and trains is a crucial factor. From knowing the exact location of each train on the track, to communicating arrival and departure times to the waiting passengers, BT Cables provides the infrastructure cabling required for these highly advanced systems to operate.

Our products have recently gained Network Rail product approval for the full range of LSZH NR/PS/TEL/00015 variants in 0.9mm & 0.63mm conductor sizes. Certificate number PA05/06233”.

The Doha Metro Project is 73 percent complete now and will be fully operational by 2020.

We are delighted that many customers already trust our products and services but we also recognize that it’s the delivery of a consistently positive experience that ultimately generates customer loyalty in the future. I am looking forward to this next phase of our business development with eager anticipation”.
