Amtrak has published a list of advisories for passengers looking to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration on 20 January.
With large crowds expected in and around Washington, D.C., the operator has begun co-operating with officials to ensure both a safe and reliable visit for those attending the ceremony.

Amtrak has stated that there will be strictly limited access to Washington Union Station from Saturday 18 January through to Monday 20 January, with travellers advised to take note of special signs to reach their respective boarding areas.
There will be Amtrak Ambassadors on hand at a slew of stations, including Washington Union Station, the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore Penn and Alexandria, Va.
Any passengers with accessibility requirements should request aid when making reservations, and obtain more information by speaking to advisors and calling either 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) or TTY 1-800-523-6590.
The operator has also reminded travellers to allow additional time for any departures during the weekend, and advised anyone looking to travel toward the capital to make reservations in advance to avoid any potential disappointment.
