Alstom has been awarded a new 10-year contract for the comprehensive annual maintenance of Bombardier-made metro trains, machines and plants by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The contract also includes the provision of housekeeping services for both trains and the Corporation’s Badli Depot, as well as maintenance for the onboard signalling equipment installed in all 103 trains on Lines 1 & 2.

Valued at roughly 42.1 million EUR; the contract was awarded to Alstom following a bidding process first initiated by the DMRC.

Following its successful bidding application; Alstom will undertake annual maintenance that seeks to ensure high performance, reliability and safety of the Corporation’s fleet. Work will include the corrective maintenance of trains, depot-based machinery, plant systems and general housekeeping for both trains and the Badli depot.

Alstom has also signed a contract for the maintenance of onboard signalling equipment installed on all trains on Lines 1 & 2, including failure diagnosis, technical support and spare part provision for Onboard ATC & Under frame ATC equipment, as well as the supply and installation of data logger cards.
