Île-de-France Mobilités and Alstom have unveiled the new generation MF19 metro train to be operated by RATP in the Paris region.

Designed and manufactured by Alstom and financed by Île-de-France Mobilités, the MF19 will be introduced gradually, beginning with metro line 10 by the end of 2025. Eventually, it will replace rolling stock on eight lines: 3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 8, 10, 12, and 13.

The MF19 has been developed to enhance the passenger experience through improved seating arrangements, better circulation within carriages, and updated passenger information systems. Additionally, onboard video surveillance will contribute to enhanced security.

Infrastructure modifications are required to accommodate the new trains. This includes adjustments to platforms, upgrading power supply systems, and modernising signalling equipment.
Five maintenance workshops are also being either adapted or newly constructed to ensure efficient servicing of the MF19 fleet.
