An AECOM and Jacobs joint venture has officially been appointed by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) as Programme Delivery Partner for MetroLink.
A transportation programme that aims to provide a brand-new rail connection between North County Dublin, Dublin Airport and the city centre; the development of MetroLink will aim to support future growth, reduce congestion and enhance mobility across Ireland’s capital.
As Programme Delivery Partner, the joint venture formed by AECOM and Jacobs will support the procurement and delivery of the metro system itself, bringing integrated programme management, governance and risk management to one of Ireland’s largest infrastructure investments to date.
Once operational, MetroLink is expected to become Ireland’s very-first fully segregated metro railway and form a key component of the country’s future transport network, supporting population growth, economic development and decarbonisation goals whilst simultaneously improving connectivity across the Greater Dublin area.
The MetroLink system will include 16 new stations connecting Swords in North County Dublin with Dublin Airport and the city centre whilst integrating with Irish Rail, Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) commuter rail, Luas light rail and BusConnects services in an effort to support a more connected and sustainable transportation network.

The team will aim to support TII by way of an integrated delivery model that has been designed to enhance governance, manage interfaces across multiple contracts and provide transparency throughout the programme’s lifecycle, as well as help manage risk, improve certainty and support efficient delivery of this nationally significant infrastructure investment.
